John Sez: I’m so incensed about this story, I ‘m not even sure where to begin. These deputies stepped WAY over the line holding down a child who was scared of getting a shot. It was not their place to do so and it was way beyond their job description.

Deputies Hold Boy Who Fled Flu ShotStudent refused; was held down for vaccination

WHEELING - It took the strength of two sheriff's deputies to keep a middle schooler still enough to receive a shot of the swine flu, or H1N1, vaccine at a recent clinic.

During a regular Wheeling-Ohio County Health Board meeting Tuesday, health department Administrator Howard Gamble told board members about the student's attempt to flee Wheeling Middle School during a vaccination clinic held there last Friday.

He noted the boy's mother could not bear to watch the scene and left the gymnasium. Out of apparent fear of receiving the injection, the student ran out of the building. The school's resource officer, Ohio County Sheriff's Deputy John Haglock, coaxed the boy back inside. Once at the shot station, however, Haglock apparently needed some help keeping the boy still, and another deputy assisted.

"He tried to run. I looked over and saw two sheriff's deputies holding a kid down," Gamble said. "Mom took off, she couldn't take it. You had one nurse with the needle, two deputies holding him, one nurse is grabbing hands - because that's what they want to do, to go after the needle. And that's the last thing you want."

John Sez: It wasn’t that long ago that I posted about Dr. Oz making the rounds on the TV news telling people how they should all go get their swine flu shot. The first alarm bell that rang in my head concerning Oz’s campaign to get people vaccinated was that he admitted during a news interview (video at bottom of story, or go here for the original post) that he would not be vaccinating his own children even though he was pushing for others to get the shot or to have thier children innoculated.

Now it has come out that this Oz character owns 150,000 option shares in SIGA Technologies, a vaccine technology company who’s stock is sure to rise with every vaccine given. To make matters even worse, he’s not just a shareholder of  SIGA, but he is a member of their Board of Directors, and has been since 2001.

To make a long story short: OZ has been seemingly using his position as a TV doctor with millions of viewers to convince people to get a vaccination to make money for him and his companies shareholders and not for the betterment of the health of those who listen to him.

This is absolutely disgusting. This man should have his license to practice medicine revoked immediately due to ethics violations. He is nothing more than an opportunist, a modern-day snake oil salesman whose greed has overshadowed his Hippocratic oath; he has put potentially hundreds of thousands of people’s lives at risk pushing a vaccine which is completely untested for safety FOR THE MONEY.

That evidence includes an SEC document detailing how Dr. Oz. bought options on stocks for SIGA Technologies in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. SIGA Technologies (stock symbol SIGA) is a vaccine technology company with many advanced developments whose success depends on the widespread adoption of vaccines. According to SEC documents, Dr. Mehmet Oz. currently holds 150,000 option shares on SIGA Technologies, purchased for as little as $1.35 back in 2005.

If all the 150,000 options purchased by Dr. Oz. were exercised today, they would be worth roughly $180,000 in profits (they were bought at different prices, not all at $1.35). John Sez: Back in mid October, there was a conference held at the Council of Foreign Relations where the Swine Flu vaccine was discussed (video of the pertinent part at bottom of post). One of the speakers makes the point (which the attendees seem to think is funny) that the way to get people to take the vaccine is to CREATE a scarcity scare so people would rush to line up thinking they might not get the shot.

A few seconds later there is a mention that there already is a shortage of the Vaccine, but the speaker corrects that statement, saying that initially 2 shots were supposed to be given for each person but because they are only giving one dose per person there is really double the amount of vaccine and thus no real shortage.

Now, folks, think about this for a second: haven’t we been hearing for the last month how we were short on vaccines so we should rush out and line up to get it? Is anyone out there getting pissed at being played by these contemptible bastards in suits?
 
 
John Sez: So millions of people including virologists, nurses, doctors, news reporters, scientists of all types, and normal people who have done their homework on the subject are ‘resistors’ and extremists according to Sir Liam Donaldson? Maybe people like yourself, Mr. Donaldson, who are willing to get people to take a vaccine which has not been tested for safety, comes from manufacturers who have had a spotty (to say the least) track record of safety violations and have committed numerous intentional criminal acts, and is being pushed by governments who’s creditability is ruined due to the sheer amount of lies and cover ups they have perpetrated are the real ‘extremists’ in this case.

The Chief Medical Officer in England has described those who are speaking out against the mass swine flu vaccination campaign as “extremists”.

The comment made by Sir Liam Donaldson, the government’s senior advisor on health matters, was highlighted in a Times of London article today.

John Sez:  Waitamiute…I thought that it was being widely reported that there were huge lines and not enough vaccine to go around? If so, how can there be all that much (if any) left-over which will have to be discarded?

John Sez: I recently posted that the CDC was simply making up numbers of swine flu cases as they went  due to the fact that they stopped counting actual cases at the end of June. But now the CDC has come back and stated that even when they WERE counting cases the numbers were so far off it that it seems to prove just how inept the organization has become. And to prove it they are throwing out the actual confirmed count that they had for the month of April…and simply inserting numbers that they again made up. HUH?

 C’mon folks, does anyone out there really believe this pile of stinky, slimy hogwash that is being poured down our throats regularly by the CDC, the executive branch, local governments, and the TV news media anymore?

Think about this: if six million people in April had the Swine Flu, and it’s as deadly as they would have us believe, where are the piles and piles of bodies? Let’s suppose that their numbers are indeed correct for just a moment and ask: if six million people had the swine flu in April and only 1,000 people have died from it in the entirety of the run of the disease, does that warrant the massive scare tactics and vaccine roll-out that we have seen so far?

I think not.

CDC: Up To 6 Million Swine Flu Cases In First Few Months

ATLANTA (AP) - As many as 5.7 million Americans were infected with swine flu during the first few months of the pandemic, according to estimates from federal health officials.
     
Scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that between 1.8 million and 5.7 million Americans were infected from mid-April through July 23. The figures are the CDC's most specific calculation to date.
     
They also estimated that between 9,000 and 21,000 hospitalizations occurred during that time. The estimates are in a CDC publication, Emerging Infectious Diseases, and were posted on the journal's Web site this week.
     
To come up with the numbers, the scientists assumed that most people infected with swine flu had only mild illnesses and did not get medical care or get tested. For every confirmed case, they estimated that probably 80 others occurred. And for every confirmed hospitalization, there were probably three others.
     
Rates of testing and hospitalization have dropped since the pandemic began, so the same calculation couldn't be done for cases since late July.
     
For that reason, CDC officials are saying simply that "many millions" of Americans have been infected to date, the CDC's Dr. Anne Schuchat said at a press conference Thursday in Atlanta.

John Sez: Recently the German military, as well as their government, were given swine flu vaccines without Mercury and Squalene. And here is the state of Missouri giving wavers so that certain people can get an additive free shot. Obviously, no matter what the talking heads on TV say, mercury is in the largest amount of the current crop of Swine Flu vaccines. So, this begs the question: it is obvious that the vaccines can be made without these potentially dangerous additives, so why not simply take them out of everyone’s shots?

In a move that is sure to generate controversy, Missouri’s top public health official granted an exemption Thursday that allows pregnant women and parents of children younger than 3 to choose whether to receive H1N1 flu vaccine containing a mercury-based preservative.

Critics of the mercury-based vaccine lobbied the state Legislature a few years ago to prevent its use because of alleged connections to childhood autism.

Dr. Keith Grebe, medical director at McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital, praised the relaxation of the rule on Friday.

“We had a clinic scheduled for (Friday) at McCune-Brooks where up to 80 patients, including pregnant women, would have received the (H1N1) vaccine with the preservative in it because the supply of vaccine without the preservative is in very short supply,’’ he said.

FDA Allows Use of Experimental Antiviral Drug to Treat H1N1

 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is allowing the use of an experimental antiviral drug to treat severe cases of H1N1 or swine flu. The drug, Peramivir, is currently being developed by BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc. and is undergoing testing required for regular FDA approval.

The FDA issued a so-called emergency use authorization late Friday that allows doctors to use Peramivir, which is delivered intravenously, in certain hospitalized adult and pediatric patients with confirmed or suspected H1N1 influenza.

A handful of doctors have already treated patients with severe cases of H1N1 using Peramivir obtained through the agency's expanded access rules that allow individual patients to obtain experimental drugs if certain conditions are met. The emergency-use authorization allows use of the drug without prior FDA approval.

John Sez: Of course, the obvious question to this most recent move by the executive branch is – WHY?

 As I already posted a few days back, the CDC has admittedly fudged the numbers of swine flu cases, so no one – not even the President himself  – knows exactly how many people actually have the Swine Flu, not to mention how many people have died from it. Additionally, the numbers that were reported make the severity of the Swine Flu, regardless of all the scare tactics by the government or the apparently government-run news agencies, far less serious than they seem to be reacting to. On top of that, the actual flu symptoms seems to be quite mild, with those affected complaining of typical (and mild) flu like symptoms for a few days before they are back on their feet.

So why is Obama making this apparent leap to declare a national emergency over a situation which seems to warrant a far lesser flexing of executive power? It could be a number of different scenarios: the flu outbreak is worse than the public is being told (unlikely, but if true it would indicate that we are being lied to by our government…again), the president is attempting to hype up the danger level in order to justify the expenditure of millions upon millions of tax dollars over an apparent non-emergency (a justification which is hard to explain for the president considering we are in an economic depression), the executive and the president are completely inept (although this one would be very easy to believe, track record shows that although presidents might be buffoons, the people behind them always have an agenda –generally based on power or monetary greed -  and will make the right moves to forward it, no matter what the public thinks the figurehead’s motivations are), or there is something more nefarious afoot, as the declaration of a national emergency allows for a suspension of constitutional rights, including quarantine zones and outright martial law.

 Perhaps I have missed something, but I can’t really see any reasons for this flexing of executive muscle other than those mentioned above. In my opinion NONE of those reasons are justified nor anything less than a total denouncement of the entire Obama administration. This declaration of a national emergency should not be taken lightly.
 
 
John Sez: It’s very obvious at this point in time that the government hasn’t been forth coming with truthful information about the swine flu situation. And now CBS news confirms that some of the information that they have been forthcoming with is simply not true.

According to the story, the CDC had stopped collecting data on Swine flu cases back in July. Let’s repeat this so it can settle in our mind’s a bit: the CDC had stopped collecting data on Swine flu cases back in July. Their excuse was that since the government had already muttered the mantra of ‘epidemic’ that there was no need to continue to track actual numbers of people who have Swine Flu. The story also notes that right about the time that this announcement was made the number of cases of Swine Flu in the US was in steep decline.

So, in effect, when the epidemic turned out not to be an epidemic, the CDC decided to fudge the numbers in order to make sure that they could still call it an epidemic based on a projection – or in other words, numbers that they would make up as they went. The truth is that no one really knows how many cases of swine flu there are currently, nor how many deaths are being caused from it.

So, the CDC lied. The FDA lied. The Health Department lied. Most of the TV media (especially CNN, who perpetually spread the misinformation about the vaccine and the need for it with little to no fact checking) lied. The President lied.

Not that the current administration or its appointees had any credibility with me to begin with, we now find ourselves in a very dangerous situation. First off, the government spent BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of our tax dollars on this mess (from purchasing the vaccines to making PSA’s and everything in between). They knowingly created a situation of panic among the citizenry, and created an atmosphere where members of the public who didn’t want to take an untested vaccine were ridiculed and decried as conspiracy nuts, or had to spend money (in the middle of a depression) to fund court cases in order to keep them from being forced to take a vaccine they didn’t want. The FDA changed its own rules to allow this untested vaccine to get to market. They created the potential for an epidemic, as those who receive the vaccination are contagious with the swine flu for up to a month. And those who were told that they have swine flu and thought themselves immune due to already having it are now being told they may not have had it unless there was a lab confirmation, and still need the vaccination. And, if there really WAS an epidemic in the future, the lack of creditability could cause people to hesitate in a real emergency, potentially causing a huge loss of life.

In my opinion, this should be a scandal on the level of the lies that brought us to war in Iraq or the cover up of war crimes ordered by our government.

Swine Flu Cases Overestimated? CBS News Exclusive: Study Of State Results Finds H1N1 Not As Prevalent As Feared

In late July, the CDC abruptly advised states to stop testing for H1N1 flu, and stopped counting individual cases. The rationale given for the CDC guidance to forego testing and tracking individual cases was: why waste resources testing for H1N1 flu when the government has already confirmed there's an epidemic?

Some public health officials privately disagreed with the decision to stop testing and counting, telling CBS News that continued tracking of this new and possibly changing virus was important because H1N1 has a different epidemiology, affects younger people more than seasonal flu and has been shown to have a higher case fatality rate than other flu virus strains.

CBS News learned that the decision to stop counting H1N1 flu cases was made so hastily that states weren't given the opportunity to provide input. Instead, on July 24, the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists, CSTE, issued the following notice to state public health officials on behalf of the CDC:
